DODIK: BY ELECTING SINIŠA KARAN, SRPSKA IS CHOOSING PATH OF PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT

BRČKO, NOVEMBER 11 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader, Milorad Dodik, says at a rally in Brčko that by electing Siniša Karan as president, Republika Srpska is choosing a safe and certain path, a path of progress, development, and a secure and good life.

Dodik emphasized that Siniša Karan is devoted to the principles of law and justice, and oriented toward the future and prosperity. "Vote for the policies we have pursued so far, the first and foremost for our defence, but also for our prosperity. If we stay on this course, we will have the opportunity to shape our position in a way that will be much better", Dodik said. The SNSD leader pointed out that Republika Srpska has always been ready for dialogue and agreement, respecting the interests of the other two peoples to the extent of their respect fpr Serb people’s interests. "Brčko is proof that where there is will, there is also agreement", Dodik stated. Karan said that the upcoming elections represent a referendum in which the Serb people defend their right to decide their own fate. "On November 23, you are not voting for a name or surname, but for the policy of Milorad Dodik, for Republika Srpska, for your freedom, for yourselves and your children. That is why a vote for me is a vote for our eternal president and for our eternal Srpska", said Karan. He pointed out that throughout history, the Serb people has been victim, has never allowed themselves to be subdued, and has loved freedom above all else. "Since January 9, thirty years ago, there have been attempts to destroy Republika Srpska so that Serbs would disappear or become a national minority and not be allowed to have their own state. That is why Srpska has been being attacked even after the Dayton", Karan said. He emphasized that Republika Srpska is the framework of freedom for the Serb people, persistently preserved by Dodik, SNSD, and coalition partners. A member of the SNSD Main Committee, Savo Minić, has said at the rally that these elections are the culmination of a political struggle in which the legally elected president of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, is being persecuted by a disreputable foreigner, leading a political prosecution. "We must win these elections and show both the internationals and the locals that Republika Srpska has its own institutions and supports the policy of Milorad Dodik", Minić stated. The chaor of the SNSD Brčko Municipal Committee Board, Siniša Milić, said that the large turnout and energy of those gathered at the rally in Brčko guarantee that Siniša Karan will certainly become president of Srpska. "We need continuity in the policy of protecting the national interests of Republika Srpska, but also to extend a hand to all who respect Republika Srpska and the Serb people. Such policy continuity can be guaranteed only by candidate Siniša Karan", Milić emphasized. According to him, a vote for Karan is a vote for Milorad Dodik, for Republika Srpska, for peace, and for the future of the Serb people. The leader of the Socialist Party /SP/, Petar Đokić, says that Karan will continue the policy of stability and preservation of peace that Srpska has pursued so far. "Brčko should respond in the same way as other cities, by giving massive support to Karan", Đokić said. He noted that the international position of Srpska is visibly different today and will allow for a more normal life, thus the continuity of policy is important. Among those attending the rally in Brčko were SNSD Organisational Secretary Igor Dodik and SNSD Deputy Leader Sanja Vulić.
