MAZALICA: FOREIGN JUDGES AND CHRISTIAN SCHMIDT SHOULD LEAVE BiH

BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 12 /SRNA/ - The Head of the SNSD Caucus in the Republika Srpska National Assembly Srđan Mazalica stated that the foreign judges should leave the Constitutional Court of BiH, and that Christian Schmidt should follow the same path, a topic openly discussed even beyond BiH’s borders.

Mazalica emphasized that the country is moving toward a solution to the constitutional crisis, with the foreign judges and Schmidt being among the key problems. "The selection of judges from among the Serb people of Republika Srpska, appointed by the National Assembly, is certainly a step toward normalizing the constitutional situation and crisis in BiH. Of course, we will wait for a signal and concessions from the other side before making that decision," Mazalica told reporters in Banja Luka. He said that this should also mark the beginning of discussions about the departure of foreign judges from the Constitutional Court of BiH, reminding that even the Heritage Foundation from the United States identified foreign judges and Schmidt’s actions as key problems in BiH. "When even this Foundation says so, it’s clear that such views exist. I think certain issues have already been raised. We no longer see Christian Schmidt appearing in public. It’s only a matter of time before he leaves," Mazalica emphasized.
