DODIK: CONTAIN MBOX FACTORY MAJOR GAIN AND GUARANTEE FOR KEEPING YOUTH IN AREA
RUDO, NOVEMBER 13 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik has said today in Rudo that the Contain Mboc factory, which is export-oriented, has become a major economic gain for the municipality in less than a year, adding that he will support ambitions to expand the factory, which will help keep young people in the area.
Dodik, who visited the factory facility together with the Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, told the press that he witnessed how the site looked less than a year ago; the building was completely ruined, while today it is a workplace for 50 employees. “This is my third visit to this company. The owner is from Laktaši investing in Rudo. The mayor and his team did everything they could to attract investors,” Dodik added. He emphasized that the completion of the main road will improve access to this industrial site, thereby ensuring better overall operation. Dodik thanked the factory’s owners for finding ways to engage local resources and the workforce, and for exporting their products to Western European markets. “Despite delays caused by the ongoing crisis in some countries, they managed to find new customers. They are very innovative. There have been no layoffs or reductions in production - in fact, production has even increased,” said Dodik, adding that he will hold talks in Laktaši to support companies like this one in Rudo. Dodik also noted that the newest machine acquired by Contain Mbox represents the cutting-edge technology in Europe. “Young men went to Italy for training and now operate this complex machine independently. This is a gain for the entire region, for the Republic, and for our people. I want to thank you for not giving up on Rudo when times were hardest. Thanks to the owners who didn’t allow the idea to be lost,” said Dodik. He praised the young people who want to stay and those who wish to return to Rudo. “This is completely contrary to the narratives present in society. Some people just want to leave, they see pictures from abroad and think it looks exotic. Let them go there and see how hard life really is. These young people here want to stay, unlike some who live near the border and only check if there’s a line at the crossing,” said Dodik. The Contain Mbox Company produces underground and above-ground waste containers. The former Autodijelovi/Auto Parts facilities have been completely transformed since the investor from Laktaši launched the Contain Mbox Company. More than BAM 10 million ha been invested in the facility, and over 50 workers are currently employed.
