GOGANOVIĆ AND JANJIĆ HOLD URGENT MEETING: HELEZ AND FORTO PURSUING ANTI-EUROPEAN POLICIES

SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 26 /SRNA/ – Ministers in the Council of Ministers, Zukan Helez and Edin Forto, cannot prevent the arrival of senior Hungarian officials with their actions, but can damage BiH’s international reputation and obstruct the country’s European path, Deputy Minister of Defence Aleksandar Goganović and Deputy Minister of Communications and Transport Ognjen Janjić said.

At an urgent meeting, Goganović and Janjić concluded that Helez and Forto are pursuing anti-European policies. The meeting emphasized that Hungary is a proven partner of Srpska and BiH, a member of both the EU and NATO, and that its senior official will not be prevented from visiting BiH. The two officials noted that, if necessary, they will personally welcome the Hungarian representatives at the airport in Banja Luka. They warned that the individual actions of Helez and Forto, aimed at blocking visits and international cooperation, may have serious consequences for BiH’s European path. “Every step that reduces transparency and cooperation with partner countries undermines the interests of our citizens and the reputation of BiH on the international stage,” Goganović and Janjić stated. They added that, in all institutions in which Republika Srpska participates, they will continue to pursue responsible policies, protecting the interests of citizens and the European perspective of BiH.
