CEREMONY AWARDING HONORARY DOCTORATE TO SZIJJÁRTÓ OPENS

BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 27 /SRNA/ – The ceremony for awarding an honorary doctorate of the University of Banja Luka to Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó has begun at the University's Student Cultural Center.

Szijjártó was welcomed in front of the Student Cultural Center by Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić, Acting President of Republika Srpska Ana Trišić-Babić, Prime Minister Savo Minić, the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović, Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education Siniša Karan, SNSD leader Milorad Dodik, and University Rector Radoslav Gajanin. The ceremony is also attended by Republika Srpska Minister of Internal Affairs Željko Budimir, as well as the BiH Ambassador to Hungary Biljana Gutić-Bjelica. The University of Banja Luka awards honorary doctorates to distinguished individuals from the country and abroad for exceptional contributions across various fields. To date, 14 of these prestigious honors have been awarded.
