FREEDOM FOR SERBS - ONLY UNDER PROTECTION OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA
DOBOJ, NOVEMBER 29 /SRNA/ - Members of the “Izvor” Homeland Club from Doboj, which brings together Serbs who once lived in the Sarajevo-Zenica region, stated that the issue of Republika Srpska’s property is a matter of survival, and that Republika Srpska, with its institutions and property, is the only guarantee that persecution will not be repeated.
They emphasized that Republika Srpska’s property is not a matter of high politics or legal maneuvering, but the survival and security of Serbs in this area. The Chairman of the Managing Board of “Izvor,” Vlado Mojević, told SRNA that the continuous attempts by political Sarajevo to seize property from Republika Srpska are nothing more than a continuation of wartime objectives by other means – what they failed to achieve with weapons, they are now trying under the guise of false democracy. “The freedom to cross ourselves, for people to celebrate their patron saint’s day, and for Serb children to grow up aware that they are descendants of Saint Sava, is possible only under the protection of Republika Srpska. Republika Srpska, with its institutions, authorities, and property, is the only guarantee that persecution will not be repeated. To take away Republika Srpska’s property means taking away its foundation, and for us, the security we have so hard-earned,” Mojević emphasized. He emphasized that for the Serbs expelled from the Sarajevo–Zenica region, who found refuge in Doboj and, more broadly, in Republika Srpska, the question of Republika Srpska’s property is a matter of survival. “We are living witnesses to what it means when others decide your fate and force you from your ancestral home,” Mojević stated. He pointed out that today it is enough to look truth in the eye to see who has what intentions and who acts responsibly. “While Republika Srpska has enabled all homes to be restored and life to return, the demographic map of the FBiH testifies to the quiet disappearance of our people. There, Serb villages lie abandoned, property has been usurped, and by destroying cemeteries, they are trying to erase the last traces that we ever existed there,” Mojević said. He said that this is not a coincidence and that such a situation in the FBiH is the result of Sarajevo’s politics, which says one thing but does another. For this reason, the Homeland Association "Izvor" preserves not only images of our homeland, but also the truth about the survival of the Serb people. The Homeland Club “Izvor” in Doboj brings together residents from the Sarajevo–Zenica region who were expelled from their homes during the 1990s.
