UNACCEPTABLE POLICY OF INTIMIDATION AND THREATS WITH D DAY

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 6 /SRNA/ – The head of the SNSD Caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Sanja Vulić, stated that she rejects the policy of intimidation and threats with the so-called D Day, adding that the departure of Christian Schmidt would be a necessary step toward stabilizing the political situation.

Vulić assessed that D Day already happened when the judiciary allowed Christian Schmidt to assume the role of legislative authority, emphasizing an unprecedented lynching of the Serb people through the stripping of the office of a legitimately and democratically elected president. She stated that Schmidt’s arrival seriously undermined the democratic order in BiH and deprived institutions and citizens of rights guaranteed by the Constitution. “I expect the head of the EU Delegation in BiH, Luigi Soreca, to properly inform himself about political processes in BiH, because all European-related laws were proposed by ministers from SNSD and HDZ, not by those whom Schmidt appointed /the Trojka/, Vulić told SRNA. She reminded that the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is of two houses and cannot function as long as pressure exists. “Oppression of one of the constituent peoples is an uncivilized act. The European path of BiH cannot be built on such an approach,” she emphasized. According to her, Schmidt’s decisions violated the Dayton Peace Agreement and caused deep distrust among the peoples in BiH. “For all these reasons, only Schmidt’s departure would be a necessary step toward stabilizing political circumstances and restoring full respect for the Dayton-based order. Schmidt is a political rat, a destructive figure with immeasurable consequences. The time has come for him to leave BiH, along with all the wrongdoing he has caused,” Vulić concluded.
