ŠULIĆ: MORE AND MORE FOREIGN TOURISTS, SRPSKA ATTRACTIVE DESTINATION

BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 7 /SRNA/ – Preparations for the New Year holidays are well underway, and the fact that more and more foreign tourists are coming to Republika Srpska only shows that it is becoming an attractive destination, Minister of Trade and Tourism Denis Šulić told SRNA.

Šulić emphasized that he is encouraged by the growing statistical indicators, which show that Republika Srpska can now be regarded as a year-round tourist destination. He pointed out that the first skiers are already on the slopes, which is the best confirmation that an exceptionally successful season is ahead. Šulić noted that at the end of next week, the Olympic mountain Jahorina will officially open the winter tourist season, with regional stars and a rich four-day programme that will attract visitors from across the region. “Jahorina raises the quality of its offerings and improves its infrastructure year after year, so we expect excellent attendance. The Ministry of Trade and Tourism will continue to support the development of Jahorina and all our tourist centres,” Šulić said. He added that all major centres in Republika Srpska are announcing performances by regional stars and rich holiday programmes. “The indicators of reservations and occupancy are extremely encouraging, and the fact that more and more foreign tourists are coming specifically for the holidays shows that what once seemed distant is becoming reality - Republika Srpska is becoming a recognizable and attractive destination in the region,” Šulić concluded.
