DODIK: I REMAIN UNACCEPTABLE TO BOSNIAK POLITICAL ELITE, YET MY POLITICAL STRUGGLE CONTINUES
DOBOJ, DECEMBER 17 /SRNA/ – SNSD President Milorad Dodik has stated he is fully aware that he is unacceptable to the Bosniak political elite in every respect, not only as a party leader, but stressed that he will nevertheless continue fighting for the fundamental political goals related to Republika Srpska.
Speaking to reporters in Doboj, Dodik said that the fact that he is SNSD president has never been disputed, but that some are "constantly playing the judiciary." "Now they have fabricated a story claiming that I am somehow controversial even as the party president. That is their game; I have nothing to do with them," Dodik said, commenting on the fact that the Court of General Jurisdiction in Banja Luka did not accept an appeal against the decision rejecting the proposal by the Central Election Commission of BiH to delete him from the register as SNSD president. Dodik stressed that he remains focused on Republika Srpska. "And all that meddling coming from Sarajevo belongs to their own milieu and their own character traits. The court is being used as a political instrument in an attempt at elimination," Dodik said. Dodik stressed that the Bosniak political elite is dissatisfied because it believed that a verdict against him, reached through a rigged, unconstitutional political process based on the decision of a single individual, would serve as grounds for his elimination and for political action against other Serb representatives in BiH. "If BiH were truly a state, they would have rejected a possibility that false regulations could be used to impose that kind of narrative. Of course, this is not over. They expected me to say, ‘Enough, I’m done with both SNSD and Republika Srpska.’ Since I did not say that, I proved that holding a formal position is not what matters most to me, but rather political engagement alongside these people, whom I will never abandon. I will fight with them for our fundamental goals tied to Republika Srpska, Doboj, and every home where our people live," Dodik said.
