VUJIČIĆ: LAWS ON COURT AND HJPC DICTATED BY SCHMIDT, THEREFORE UNACCEPTABLE
ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 20 /SRNA/ – Christian Schmidt is the author of the Law on Court and the Law on High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council /HJPC/ of BiH, which the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly is scheduled to discuss on Monday, therefore will not receive SNSD support, SNSD MP in this House, Miroslav Vujičić, told SRNA.
Vujičić stressed that these two draft laws are being pushed by the “Sarajevo and Serb troika” under the pretext of fighting for the European path. “The versions of these two laws that will be on the agenda are unacceptable to us because, according to our information, the author is Schmidt,” Vujičić said. According to him, the seat of the appellate division is unacceptable, as well as the methods of appointing judges and omission of the possibility for Republika Srpska institutions to influence certain processes that the “Sarajevo and Serb troika” envisaged in these legislative solutions. He reiterated that nothing pushed under the theme of the European path is acceptable if it has not been agreed upon in the Council of Ministers, where Republika Srpska representatives are also present. Vujičić emphasized that this will be the case whenever there is any attempt to forcibly push the so-called European path without Republika Srpska being visible and having influence in decision-making in any institution. “If we want BiH to survive and progress, there must be a high level of negotiations and consensus, not the dictation of legislative solutions by Christian Schmidt, who bears the greatest responsibility for provoking all crises in BiH over the past three years,” Vujičić said. He recalled that the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly has two draft laws that they would support because they are harmonized with all elements that suit Republika Srpska, unlike Schmidt’s proposals, which have nothing to do with reality. An emergency session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is scheduled for Monday, December 22, with the agenda including the Draft Amendments to the Law on the Court of BiH and the Draft Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council /HJPC/ of BiH. The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH has scheduled a session for Tuesday, December 23, at which it is expected to review the Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Court of BiH and the Bill on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council /HJPC/. These two bills differ in wording from the bills that will be reviewed by the House of Representatives the day before.
