KOJIĆ: CEC IS TRYING TO REWRITE WILL OF VOTERS IN REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 24 /SRNA/ – SNSD caucus member in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Milorad Kojić stated that the Central Election Commission of BiH /CEC BiH/, based on assumptions rather than facts, is attempting to rewrite the will of voters following the snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska.

"CEC has evidently become a body that seeks to determine what every voter is entitled to, namely the right to vote and to be voted for," Kojić told SRNA, commenting on the CEC’s decision to annul elections at 136 polling stations and order their repetition in 17 municipalities and cities. He stressed that the CEC, acting as a political body, is dissatisfied with the voters' decision for Siniša Karan to be elected President of Republika Srpska and is attempting in every possible way to alter that will. "The CEC is now trying to claim that there were certain irregularities at some polling stations, even though those polling stations had presidents and members of polling boards, as well as observers and representatives of other political parties present," Kojić said. He concluded that the CEC has exceeded the scope of its authority and is exerting pressure in every possible way in order to change the electoral outcome. "This will definitely not succeed. Unfortunately, this is a practice they are now trying to elevate to a higher level in order to influence election results, and that, too, will certainly not succeed," Kojić said.
