MINIĆ: CEC DECISION IS A CONTINUATION OF THE OFFENSIVE AGAINST SRPSKA; WE WILL PREVENT THESE INTENTIONS
BANJA LUKA, December 25 /SRNA/ - Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić told SRNA that the decision of the Central Election Commission of BiH /CEC/ to repeat voting at 136 polling stations in the early presidential elections represents a continuation of an offensive against Republika Srpska, but stressed that these intentions will be thwarted.
"First, the institution of the president was targeted. Now it goes further. Here, the Government of Republika Srpska is also being indirectly attacked. You know that a court which had never ruled on the election of the Government and had declared itself incompetent has now taken it upon itself to deliberate on this matter. Deliberately, it is refusing to issue a decision," Minić said. He pointed out that elections had previously been repeated at certain polling stations without any change in the outcome, adding that this time locations were deliberately selected where the SNSD candidate Siniša Karan received overwhelming support. "Someone wants to create a certain projection. This is part of a project against the institutions of Repuklika Srpska. We will stop it - and, most importantly, we will stop it on the ground. When they announce these repeat elections, believe me, I will be the first, together with my colleagues and many others, to have such determination that we will dismantle them like Lego on the ground," Minić said. The Central Election Commission of BiH yesterday adopted a non-final decision annulling the early elections for President of Republika Srpska at 136 polling stations across 17 electoral units, a decision against which an appeal may be lodged. The early elections were annulled at certain polling stations in Prijedor, Laktaši, Banja Luka, Doboj, Stanari, Lopare, Ugljevik, Osmaci, Vlasenica, Zvornik, Bratunac, Nevesinje, Gacko, Rudo, Bileća, Milići and Brčko.
