DODIK: NEW TREBINJE HOSPITAL TO MAKE REPUBLIKA SRPSKA PROUD

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 2 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik stated that the new hospital in Trebinje, which will be opened on Monday, January 5, will be a source of pride for Republika Srpska and proof that, even in challenging times of sanctions and criticism, development programs have not been abandoned.

"We believe that the new hospital will contribute to the overall development of Trebinje, showing that the authorities in Republika Srpska take care of all parts of the Republic," Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka. He reminded that the hospital cost BAM 140 million and was built using Republika Srpska's own funds. "This is a monumental facility that will serve not only the citizens of Trebinje but also those from surrounding areas," Dodik said, adding that the hospital’s capacity far exceeds /the needs of/ the population of Trebinje. He emphasized that, thanks to conditions that are among the best in the region, including Montenegro and parts of Croatia, the hospital will attract a significant number of patients. "The hospital not only has the best equipment, but will also employ 40 specialist doctors. We want it to become a regional center where services are provided by eminent experts coming from other medical centers, primarily from Belgrade and Banja Luka," Dodik said. He described the Trebinje hospital as a gift to Republika Srpska. "We did not give up on its construction despite sanctions and political turbulence, and we focused all our efforts on opening the hospital on January 9," Dodik concluded.
