BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 3 /SRNA/ – Rector of the University of Banja Luka, Radoslav Gajanin, told SRNA that Republika Srpska is a sanctity that must continue to be further developed, emphasizing that Januar 9 holds great significance for the academic community, which made a major contribution to its creation.

"Teachers, associates, university leadership, and students made an enormous contribution to the creation, defence, and development of Republika Srpska. Even today, former students of the universities of Banja Luka and Istočno Sarajevo hold some of the most important positions in Republika Srpska," Gajanin said. He stressed that the academic community will insist on preserving all the competencies held by Republika Srpska and will contribute to strengthening it in all areas. "We do this continuously by performing the tasks entrusted to us. Day by day, we achieve better results. Our students achieve strong results at international competitions, as do our teachers and associates. This is the way we advance and protect our Republika Srpska," Gajanin emphasized. Republika Srpska was established on January 9, 1992, in Sarajevo as the Republic of the Serb People of BiH by a decision of the then Assembly of the Serb People in BiH.
