SOKOL: CROAT ENTITY REALISTIC OUTCOME IF BOSNIAKS DO NOT COME TO SENSE

ZAGREB, JANUARY 4 /SRNA/ – HDZ Member of the European Parliament Tomislav Sokol states a Croat entity in BiH is a realistic outcome if Bosniak politics continues to reject reform of the Electoral Law and outvote Croats in BiH.

ZAGREB, JANUARY 4 /SRNA/ – HDZ Member of the European Parliament Tomislav Sokol states a Croat entity in BiH is a realistic outcome if Bosniak politics continues to reject reform of the Electoral Law and outvote Croats in BiH.

"In the long run, a unitary policy definitely does not have the support of the West, and if Muslims are not ready for compromise and do not come to their senses, they will get a solution that, from their perspective, is much worse. If they are not ready for reform of the Electoral Law in the foreseeable future, one morning they will wake up with a third entity," Sokol said. He emphasized that the main problem on BiH’s European path is electoral reform, without which it is "difficult to speak about the European path." "One cannot go to Europe with unequal constituent peoples. Europe is based on the equality of its members, therefore equality of peoples within BiH is key to the country’s successful European path," Sokol told RTV Herceg-Bosna.
