PROVIDE NECESSARY PERMITS FOR SERBIA'S INVESTMENT IN TREBINJE AIRPORT
TREBINJE, JANUARY 5 /SRNA/ - The President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić asked the leadership of Republika Srpska and BiH to provide the necessary permits for the construction of an airport in Trebinje, another significant Serbian investment in the city.
Speaking at a press conference following the ceremonial opening of the Saint Archdeacon Stephen - January 9 Hospital, Vučić said that Serbia is ready to invest over 200 million euros in the Trebinje airport, which would be important both for Republika Srpska and for BiH. "All preparations have been completed; we only ask to receive the necessary permits. We have no problem with funding. This would be very significant for Republika Srpska, and if you want, for all of BiH," Vučić said. He expressed confidence that this would mark a new chapter in Trebinje's future. "It is in our people's interest to be better connected, for us in Belgrade to connect more easily with Trebinje, Gacko, Bileća, and it is of huge importance for the development of the entire region, all of Republika Srpska, and all of us," Vučić emphasized. He added that it gives him great joy when Republika Srpska progresses. "As you support Serbia in everything, we equally love Republika Srpska and wish it the fastest possible progress," Vučić stressed. He reiterated that Serbia will be able to maintain peace in times of unrest, deter any attacks on the Serbian people and Serbia, and defend Serbia, while not seeking anything that belongs to others. Vučić also congratulated Orthodox Christians on the upcoming Christmas Eve and Christmas holidays and thanked the people of Republika Srpska for their love and support. In addition to the highest officials of Republika Srpska, the hospital opening in Trebinje was attended by Serbia's Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar, Presidential Advisor for Regional Affairs Miloš Vučević, and the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Andrija Mandić. The hospital opening is part of the program marking Republic Day - January 9.
