CVIJANOVIĆ: CENTRAL MEMORIAL IS REMINDER OF HEROISM OF REPUBLIC’S FINEST SONS

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 8 /SRNA/ – The Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović emphasized that the Central Memorial in Banja Luka dedicated to fallen soldiers of the Army of Republika Srpska during the Defensive-Patriotic War should forever serve as a reminder of the heroism of the finest sons of Republika Srpska.

Cvijanović noted that Republika Srpska was born in peace and defended by the lives of its finest sons. "We owe them eternal gratitude, as their sacrifice is woven into the very foundations of our Republic. May this monument serve as an additional incentive to preserve the peace and freedom they won for us, as well as our shared hearth – Republika Srpska," Cvijanović wrote on Instagram. Today in Banja Luka, on the occasion of January 9, Republic Day of Republika Srpska, the Central Memorial dedicated to a total of 25,830 fallen soldiers in the Defensive-Patriotic War of Republika Srpska was unveiled and consecrated.
