THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT SRPSKA IS STABLE, POLITICAL ISSUES ARE YET TO COME

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 8 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik stated that the most important thing is for Republika Srpska to remain stable, and that political issues are yet to come.

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 8 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik stated that the most important thing is for Republika Srpska to remain stable, and that political issues are yet to come.

Dodik said that BiH can only exist through agreement, but he believes that the opportunity for this has been lost. “I am not dealing with separatism, but with politics,” Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka after the ceremonial academy on the occasion of Republic Day. He emphasized the importance of Republika Srpska celebrating Republic Day, and for the relevant authorities to focus on economic development. He pointed out that the Constitutional Court of BiH does not exist because this institution does not have the nine judges required, and that Republika Srpska is a party to the Dayton Agreement, which does not provide for a Court or a Prosecutor’s Office of BiH. “BiH is not possible. Why do you think it is possible? To harass us and tell us that we must obey your decisions, which are not laws, courts that are not legal, not constitutional,” Dodik said. He added that political Sarajevo has lost the support it once had. Dodik stated that the United States lifted sanctions against him because normal people are now making those decisions, and that he supports the decision of U.S. President Donald Trump to withdraw from the Hague Tribunal and other international organizations. “He said that these are failed institutions,” Dodik said. In response to a comment from federal media noting that everyone addresses him as “President” and asking whether he might run for the position of President of Republika Srpska or Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Dodik replied that he believes he will be the first president of an independent Republika Srpska.
