NO VIOLATION OF VITAL NATIONAL INTEREST
BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 18 /SRNA/ – The Council of Peoples of Republika Srpska has determined that there is no violation of a vital national interest in the decision of the National Assembly accepting the resignation of Prime Minister Savo Minić, the Chair of the Croat People Caucus, Nada Tešanović, told SRNA.
This has created the conditions for the decision on resignation to be published in the Republika Srpska Official Gazette. Immediately thereafter, the acting President of the Republic, Ana Trišić - Babić, will again entrust Savo Minić with the term tp form a new government. Upon completion of this procedure, a session of the Assembly Advisory Board will be held, which is expected to schedule today the 30th special session of the National Assembly, at which Minić should be confirmed as Prime Minister and a new Republika Srpska Government elected. Earlier today, the Republika Srpska National Assembly adopted Minić’s resignation from the position of Srpska prime minister. At the session, Minić stated that it was unacceptable for the Government’s positive momentum to be halted by artificial crises and that he decided to submit his resignation as an act of responsibility, with the aim of political stability and continuity of governance. Prime Minister Minić resumed his office on January 15, and the acting President of Republika Srpska, Ana Trišić - Babić, informed him that he would again be proposed as prime minister-designate. Trišić Babić emphasized at the time that this decision aimed to prevent the creation of yet another artificial crisis orchestrated by the foreign administration, and to ensure that decisions about processes in Srpska are made by Republika Srpska and its institutions, not by anyone outside of it.
