MINISTER BUDIMIR ATTENDS CEREMONIAL TRANSFER OF EUFOR COMMAND

SARAJEVO, JANUARY 21 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Minister of the Interior Željko Budimir attended today a ceremony at the EUFOR base in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Butmir, where Romanian Armed Forces Major General Florin Marian Barbu formally handed over the post of EUFOR Commander to Italian Armed Forces Major General Maurizio Fronda.

Minister Budimir thanked the outgoing commander for correct and professional cooperation, wishing the new EUFOR Commander Fronda much success in his future work. The Republika Srpska Interior Minister invited the new EUFOR Commander to visit Banja Luka and the Ministry of the Interior /MoI/. A statement from the MoI said that Minister Budimir also attended a ceremonial review of EUFOR personnel and military equipment.
