ŠPIRIĆ: INCOMPLETE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT’S DECISIONS ARE SARAJEVO’S ONLY WEAPON IN STRUGGLE AGAINST SRPSKA

SARAJEVO, JANUARY 24 /SRNA/ – Deputy Chair of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Nikola Špirić, told SRNA that the decisions of the incomplete Constitutional Court of BiH are official Sarajevo’s only remaining weapon in the fight against the Dayton Peace Agreement and the position of Republika Srpska within BiH.

Špirić says that Sarajevo-based parties are using the questionable decisions of that court as their political platform in the fight against the SNSD and President Milorad Dodik. "I am afraid they are not aware that this kind of struggle primarily undermines BiH and its further functioning, because each new decision of the Constitutional Court deepens the crisis," Špirić said. He pointed out that it is fully clear that the court’s known decisions are being timed for moments when it is necessary to generate new crises, and in this case also to strengthen the electoral platform of opposition parties from Republika Srpska ahead of the upcoming elections. "All of them, with the help of the incomplete Constitutional Court, have directed the blade toward the Republika Srpska institutions and the Serbs. However, no pasaran, there is no retreat," Špirić concluded.
