RESPECT FOR THE DAYTON ACCORDS - KEY FRAMEWORK AND GUARANTEE FOR THE FUNCTIONING OF BiH

BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 4 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Savo Minić and the United Kingdom's Special Envoy to the Western Balkans Karen Pierce assessed at today's meeting in Banja Luka that respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement represents the key framework and guarantee for the functioning of BiH.

BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 4 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Savo Minić and the United Kingdom's Special Envoy to the Western Balkans Karen Pierce assessed at today's meeting in Banja Luka that respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement represents the key framework and guarantee for the functioning of BiH.



Minić thanked the United Kingdom for support, stating that this diplomatic visit is very important for Republika Srpska and BiH that sends a clear message. He particularly emphasized that all outstanding issues in BiH must be resolved through dialogue among local politicians. Pierce expressed the United Kingdom's support for BiH's path toward the EU and for resolving all outstanding issues, the Republika Srpska Government Bureau for Public Relations announced. The interlocutors expressed interest in continuing cooperation aimed at further progress of Republika Srpska and BiH, with respect for the equality of all constituent peoples. At the meeting, which was also attended by the UK Ambassador to BiH Julian Reilly, views were exchanged on the current political and economic situation, with particular emphasis on the European integration process.
