MINIĆ: DRONES CAN BE MANUFACTURED IN SRPSKA
BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 4 /SRNA/ – A startup project of the Science and Technology Park – unmanned systems /drones/ RMUS Balkans, aimed at establishing the production of these modern technologies in Srpska, was presented today in Banja Luka.
Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić is satisfied with the presentation, emphasizing that the purpose of the drones Muva /Fly/ and Gavran /Raven/, patented in the United States, is specific both in terms of range and flight distance. He told the press that a market would be secured for them. "I was also told to finalize the talks on organised production of drones, while we as the Government will provide maximum support in this regard, as will the business community. We will not stop there, as local companies have the capacity for other programmes as well. We must keep pace with the times and follow modern technologies," Minić said. In addition to Minić, the presentation at the Banja Luka-based Kosmos company was attended by Republika Srpska Interior Minister Željko Budimir, Srpska Police Director Siniša Kostrešević, Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship Radenko Bubić, Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education Draga Mastilović, and Rector of Banja Luka University Dragoslav Gajanin. Also present were the Republika Srpska Science and Technology Park Director Nikola Dragović, as well as the Director of the Banja Luka-based Kosmos company, Dušan Vještica. One of the main goals of the Republika Srpska Science and Technology Park is to support the creation and development of local innovative products and services, with a focus on building a knowledge-based local economy whose competitiveness will be globally recognized. The park's objectives include attracting innovative companies, developing a knowledge-based economy, supporting startups and spin-off companies, facilitating cooperation between scientific organisations and industry, contributing to digital transformation, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, creating employment opportunities, and attracting qualified experts.
