BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 6 /SRNA/ – The Socialist Party of Srpska /SPS/ firmly stands behind Siniša Karan /the SNSD candidate in Republika Srpska repeat snap presidential elections/, recognising him as a candidate who represents institutional stability, protection of the constitutional position, and the further strengthening of Republika Srpska, said the party leader, Goran Selak.

Selak emphasized that the results of the imposed repeat presidential elections in Republika Srpska will be yet another confirmation that the days of outvoting and unilateral solutions to the detriment of Srpska and its institutions are long gone. "Siniša Karan has our full support as it is about a man with necessary experience and seriousness to perform the most responsible functions. All of us whose goal is a strong and stable Republika Srpska see in him a partner who can guarantee respect for the law, preservation of competencies, and the continued strengthening and development of Republika Srpska," Selak stated. According to him, this is not merely party and coalition support, but support for the principles of progress and stability advocated by all those who genuinely wish well for Republika Srpska. The Central Election Commission of BiH /CEC BiH/ previously decided that repeat snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska will be held on Sunday, February 8, at 136 polling stations in 17 constituencies. These include certain polling stations in Prijedor, Laktaši, Banja Luka, Doboj, Stanari, Lopare, Ugljevik, Osmaci, Zvornik, Vlasenica, Bratunac, Nevesinje, Gacko, Rudo, Bileća, Milići, and Brčko.
