SNAP AND REPEAT ELECTIONS A SCHEME TO FORCE OPPOSITION INTO POWER

SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 6 /SRNA/ – SNSD member of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Milorad Kojić said that both the calling of snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska and repeating them is an attempt to forcibly bring the opposition to power, but that the people should choose those who protect the constitutional order of Republika Srpska.

Kojić says there were indications that the name of the SNSD presidential candidate Siniša Karan was to be removed from the ballot, assessing that all of this is happening because of the awareness that SNSD is the party that protects the constitutional order of Republika Srpska, and that Milorad Dodik, as SNSD leader, sacrifices his own comfort for the survival of Srpska. "The entire scheme surrounding this process started with Christian Schmidt, together with the Bosniaks, with the aim of trying to forcibly bring the opposition to power," Kojić told SRNA. Kojić has pointed to the fact that the snap repeat elections are taking place on Sunday, February 8, at polling stations where there were not even any complaints about irregularities during November 23 election day. He says Republika Srpska is threatened by Schmidt and Republika Srpska opposition, which sees this scheme as its only chance to come to power. "There are indications that they wanted to remove Siniša Karan and bring them to power," Kojić said. He stressed that the people, at the repeat elections on Sunday, February 8, should show that the Serb people love Republika Srpska, and that Bosniaks should shape their politics within the Federation of BiH and have no right to interfere in Republika Srpska. "In that way, the people should punish the opposition," Kojić noted.
