WASHINGTON, FEBRUARY 7 /SRNA/ – US General Michael Flynn has stressed that it was an honor for him, together with American congressmen and businesspeople, to host in Washington SNSD President Milorad Dodik, with whom they discussed strengthening relations between Republika Srpska and the United States.

"Dodik emphasized his commitment to closer ties with the USA and expressed optimism about the future under the leadership of US President Donald Trump," Flynn posted on X. He pointed out that strong relations, national sovereignty, and fair cooperation are key to lasting peace and prosperity. At a dinner at the Golden Institute in Washington, organized in his honor by Flynn, Dodik spoke about his desire to strengthen relations with the USA, particularly with the Trump administration. He expressed special interest in fostering economic ties, using trade as a foundation for bringing Republika Srpska and the USA closer together, according to the Golden Institute’s website. "President Dodik also addressed the negative effects of external political influence on his country, especially from the EU and the previous US administration, welcoming the efforts of the Trump administration to improve relations between the two countries and lift the sanctions that had been imposed on Republika Srpska," the Golden Institute stated. As underlined, Dodik expressed optimism regarding the future of relations between the USA and Republika Srpska, with his support for President Trump. The dinner at the Golden Institute in Washington, hosted by Flynn, was attended by the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović and the Acting President of Republika Srpska Ana Trišić Babić.
