STRONG CONDEMNATION OF THREATS AGAINST SERBS, CALL FOR SIPA AND PROSECUTION TO ACT

BIJELJINA, FEBRUARY 7 /SRNA/ – The Veterans’ Association of the "Panteri" Guard strongly condemned the use of firearms and war chants at a gathering in Hasin Vrh near Bihać and called on the State Investigation and Protection Agency /SIPA/ and the BiH Prosecutor’s Office to react.

"We ask whether these are threats against Serbs ahead of the elections and expect an urgent response, in the same way that SIPA and the BiH Prosecutor’s Office reacted when some Serbs raised three fingers and wished a happy birthday to the wartime leadership of Republika Srpska," the veterans said. The statement notes that everyone has the right to mark their events from the past, but that war chants and firing weapons are a threat and are unacceptable. The veterans also published a video of the disputed events.
