ŽUPLJANIN: SERB PEOPLE ONCE AGAIN DEMONSTRATED UNBREAKABLE WILL
BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 9 /SRNA/ - The Organization of Senior Officers of the Republika Srpska Army /RSA/ believes that the Serb people have once again demonstrated a sovereignist and patriotic commitment, as well as an unbreakable will not to allow anyone else to choose representatives who will lead Republika Srpska on their behalf.
The Organization's president Slobodan Župljanin emphasized that yesterday showed that Republika Srpska and the Serb people are ready to overcome and neutralize all attempts at coordinated hostile actions by the Office of the High Representative /OHR/, certain European embassies, the Central Election Commission /CEC/, Sarajevo-based Bosniak political elites, and internal enemies from within Republika Srpska. He emphasized that yesterday the Serbs and Republika Srpska elected a president according to their own will and choice, thanks to the responsible statesmanship of the legal and legitimate representatives of the Serb people in Republika Srpska. He noted that, after everything that has happened, it would be reasonable for the CEC to announce the official results as soon as possible and then collectively resign, and Republika Srpska should prepare to conduct its elections autonomously. It is evident, he said, that the Central Election Commission /CEC/ is no longer credible in managing the electoral processes in BiH. Župljanin pointed out that Republika Srpska and the Serb people are today active participants in international relations and global politics, as an increasing number of nations and states understand Republika Srpska's position and are willing to support it. He also pointed out that among these nations and peoples are the world's three greatest powers in economic, military, and political terms, which is the best guarantee that Republika Srpska is on the right path. Following the repeated early elections for president of Republika Srpska, SNSD candidate Siniša Karan received 224,384 votes, or 50.54 percent, and SDS candidate Branko Blanuša received 213,513 votes, or 48.09 percent, according to preliminary results from the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH after 100 percent of polling stations were processed.
