ELECTION RESULTS CONFIRMED, KARAN PRESIDENT OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA
SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 9 /SRNA/ – The Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH has confirmed the results of the repeat snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska, according to which after 100 percent of polling stations were processed, SNSD candidate Siniša Karan won 224,384 votes, while SDS candidate Branko Blanuša won 213,513.
According to the final data, Dragan Đokanović of the Alliance for New Policy won 2,028 votes, Nikola Lazarević of the Ecological Party 1,660 votes, independent candidates Igor Gašević 1,364 votes and Slavko Dragičević 1,068 votes. A total of 452,219 ballots were processed, 444,017 of which were valid. A total of 452,219 citizens, or 35.77 percent of registered voters, turned out for the snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska. In yesterday's repeat snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska, 84,474 voters were eligible to vote, 41,826 or 49.51 percent of whom voted.
