BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 9 /SRNA/ – The newly elected Republika Srpska President, Siniša Karan, expressed his gratitude to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán for his congratulatory messages over the victory in the repeat snap elections.
“We are continuing the excellent cooperation between our two peoples, based on shared goals and values, for the benefit of both Republika Srpska and Hungary,” Karan posted on X. Orbán congratulated Karan on his “great electoral victory.” “I wish you success in serving the sovereign will of your people, and look forward to our joint work,” Orbán posted on X. The Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH has confirmed the results of the repeat snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska, according to which after 100 percent of polling stations were processed, SNSD candidate Siniša Karan won 224,384 votes, while SDS candidate Branko Blanuša won 213,513.
