DODIK: WE ARE PROUD OF ELECTION RESULTS, PEOPLE RECOGNIZED SARAJEVO'S DECEPTION
BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 11 /SRNA/ - SNSD Organizational Secretary Igor Dodik said he is proud of the results of the early election for President of Republika Srpska, emphasizing that the past weekend demonstrated the strength of the SNSD and its leader, Milorad Dodik.
“Siniša Karan’s victory is fair and shows how incapable the opposition is of responding to the current moment. Voters recognized the deception organized in Sarajevo and their desire to install puppets after the removal of the legitimate President of Republika Srpska,” Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka. He called on the opposition to take a stand against the illegal foreigner before the next election campaign and to stop flirting with ideas coming from Sarajevo, which, he said, does not have good intentions toward Republika Srpska. “When it comes to the future of Republika Srpska, there is no government and opposition. Return to Republika Srpska and its interests. The opposition fails to recognize the moment and does not know how to respond to an extended hand. They have nothing to be surprised about, nor anything to hope for, as they have been repeating the same platitudes for more than 20 years,” Dodik said. He thanked all SNSD activists, local party boards, and voters, adding that they would make an effort to explain their policies to those who voted for another candidate this time. “We want to help every local community. We listen to the people and their problems. We are doing our utmost. I would like to thank everyone in the SNSD, and I assert that the SNSD will remain an indispensable factor in the BiH political landscape not only in the next, but also in the following two election cycles. Our goal is to secure nine seats in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and four seats in the House of Peoples. I call on everyone to engage even more and to examine the reasons behind any dissatisfaction,” Dodik emphasized. He called on all SNSD members who hold public office to spend more time among the people and to be at the service of citizens. “I have heard that some are unwilling to resolve problems, and we do not want such individuals among us. I am sending them a message that we will pay closer attention to their work, because they have received the people’s trust and they must justify it,” Dodik said.
