ŠOBOT: A NEW CHAPTER IN THE TREATMENT OF THE MOST SERIOUS DISEASES IS OPENING
BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 13 /SRNA/ - With the opening of the newly built oncology and hematology facility with palliative care at the University Clinical Centre of Republika Srpska, a new chapter is opening in the treatment of the most serious diseases affecting an increasing number of people, said the acting director of the Centre Nikola Šobot.
Šobot stated that this facility will enable faster diagnostics and treatment of patients suffering from malignant diseases. "This centre is the crown of many years of efforts to enable the provision of the most modern treatment methods for patients suffering from malignant diseases in Republika Srpska," Šobot said during the ceremonial opening of the new building at Paprikovac. Šobot emphasized that this is a significant and important day for the Clinical Centre, healthcare workers, and patients. He highlighted that patients will receive the best care here and that this represents continuity and dedication to the health of every resident. He stressed that the building is the result of long-term planning, but that nothing would have been achieved without the support of the Government of Republika Srpska, which recognized the need for such a centre. He added that faith is also needed in treatment and that it is no coincidence the facility is opening ahead of the great religious holiday of Sretenje. He expressed gratitude to Serbia for all the assistance provided, and especially thanked healthcare workers. "You are the most important resource of the healthcare system of Republika Srpska," Šobot said. He also thanked Milorad Dodik for his support for the development of the healthcare system of Republika Srpska.
