MINIĆ: SERBIAN PEOPLE CAN ONLY SURVIVE IF THEY ARE UNITED

BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 13 /SRNA/ - The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, stated on Friday evening in Banja Luka that the Serbian people can survive only if they are united and cohesive, because throughout history, freedom was not granted to them lightly, but was won through struggle, and always on the right side of history.

BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 13 /SRNA/ - The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, stated on Friday evening in Banja Luka that the Serbian people can survive only if they are united and cohesive, because throughout history, freedom was not granted to them lightly, but was won through struggle, and always on the right side of history.



Minić said that he is honored that Republika Srpska and Serbia celebrate Statehood Day together, noting that they are one people in two states, a people who share the same faith, culture, tradition, and history, everything that binds them to a single idea - freedom. “We have never risen up to harm anyone or to oppress, but only when we sought freedom. Throughout history, the Serbian people have defended only themselves and their freedom, their statehood, because whenever they were not organized within a system that had elements of statehood, they disappeared,” Minić said at the ceremonial academy marking Sretenje/Candlemass - Statehood Day of Serbia and Statehood Day of Republika Srpska. He emphasized that unity and harmony are the only things that can save the Serbian people from those who wish them harm and who seize every opportunity to sow seeds of discord. “We must not allow this because we are one people! For every citizen and every good person, there must be unity and freedom. We did not receive freedom lightly, the best sons gave their lives for it, and many were left maimed,” Minić emphasized. He pointed out that everything that has happened throughout history obliges every Serb to honor their ancestors, who were honorable, honest, and fought under a banner that promoted freedom, as well as to respect future generations. Minić said that for this reason, the authorities of Republika Srpska and Serbia strive to ensure that everything they do is grounded in the highest legal acts, such as the Sretenje Constitution, which was one of the most modern acts of its time. He emphasized that it is important for the Serbian people to be united, strong against those who wish them harm, and to preserve Republika Srpska and its institutions. “That we in Republika Srpska have the best relations with Serbia, because our brothers and sisters are there. Long live Serbia! Long live Republika Srpska!” Minić said.
