GOGANOVIĆ: BANJA LUKA HAS BECOME DIPLOMATIC CENTRE, SARAJEVO WATCHING HELPLESSLY
ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 17 /SRNA/ – The arrival of ambassadors and representatives of the international community in Banja Luka confirms that Republika Srpska has become an unavoidable international interlocutor, Aleksandar Goganović, Deputy Defence Minister in the BiH Council of Ministers, told SRNA, emphasizing that official Sarajevo is finding it difficult to accept the new reality in which Republika Srpska plays an active and decisive role.
“Through the diplomatic activities of the Republika Srpska leadership, headed by President Milorad Dodik, it is confirmed that the voice of Srpska is today clearly and unequivocally heard in the world. The arrival of ambassadors and representatives of the international community in Banja Luka shows that Republika Srpska is a politically serious and indispensable interlocutor with whom discussions are held directly and without intermediaries,” Goganović stated. According to him, the growing interest of foreign officials in holding talks in Banja Luka confirms that Srpska has the political weight, credibility, and capacity to represent its own interests independently in the international arena. Republika Srpska, thanks to the clear and resolute policy of its leadership, Goganović noted, does not wait for anyone’s approval to build international contacts. “Official Sarajevo reacts to this reality with disbelief and nervousness, as it is not accustomed to Republika Srpska, under the strong leadership of Milorad Dodik, acting confidently, institutionally, and with clearly articulated positions. The time when processes were conducted without Republika Srpska is over, and today’s diplomatic dynamics unequivocally confirm this,” Goganović concluded.
