STEVANDIĆ: THIS IS MORE THAN INJUSTICE - IT IS MALICE
PALE, FEBRUARY 20 /SRNA/ – The Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić described as malice, and not only injustice, the decision not to allow Republika Srpska’s first president Radovan Karadžić to attend the funeral of his wife Ljiljana.
“This is not only injustice by the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals in The Hague, but a form of malice,” Stevandić said. He stated that Serbs have never been forgiven for not undermining the foundations on which Republika Srpska was created, adding that there were those who wanted it to disappear, along with Serb perseverance, culture of remembrance, and respect. Stevandić emphasized that he was proud that Ljiljana Zelen Karadžić was buried with full state honors and an honor guard. "However they demonstrate that disgraceful stance, we demonstrate humanity and set an example, more than it may appear,” Stevandić said. Ljiljana Zelen Karadžić, the wife of the first president of Republika Srpska, Radovan Karadžić, was buried today at the Bare city cemetery in Pale.
