LAKTAŠI, FEBRUARY 25 /SRNA/ - The Fourth International Conference on Crafts and Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska, aimed at creating a better business environment for the development of this sector, began today in Laktaši.

The ceremonial opening is attended by the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić, the Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship Radenko Bubić, the Deputy Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly Anja Ljubojević, as well as the leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats /SNSD/ Milorad Dodik. The conference brings together more than 300 entrepreneurs from Republika Srpska, the region, and countries of the European Union. The event is being held at the Hotel San and is organized by the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Independent Entrepreneurs Banja Luka. The Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska previously told SRNA that this is an exceptional opportunity for open dialogue between entrepreneurs and institutions on current issues, and that the international character of the gathering provides scope for a broad exchange of experiences and examples of good practice in the region. The Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska plans to launch public calls this year for the allocation of incentives intended, among other things, to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises and to support their promotion. More than 26,000 independent entrepreneurs are currently operating in Republika Srpska, employing over 40,000 workers, which is in line with the previous year.
