SRPSKA HOUSE IN BRČKO WILL KEEP ITS DESIGNATION
BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 26 /SRNA/ – The Srpska House in Brčko will always bear that name, SNSD President Milorad Dodik has said.
"Where Serbs live, where their constituent status is guaranteed by the Constitution, buildings and institutions will carry the `Srpska` designation, whether someone likes it or not. This will also be the case in Brčko, where the Srpska House will always have that name," Dodik stressed. Dodik pointed out that Srpska Varoš in Brčko is a historical fact and that he does not see what is disputed about the name Srpska House. "The fact that it bothers someone is their problem, and they will have to deal with it. The Serb name is much, much older than all supervisors, and no one will ban or extinguish it," Dodik wrote on X. The Forum of Intellectuals in Brčko called on local authorities to annul the purchase of the building acquired by Republika Srpska and named Srpska House, claiming that entity institutions were illegally housed there. The Office of the High Representative also commented yesterday on the issue of the Srpska House in Brčko, which was also discussed during a meeting between SBB President Fahrudin Radončić and Brčko District Supervisor Louis Crishock.
