SRPSKA COMMITTED TO STRENGTHENING RELATIONS WITH RUSSIA
BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 26 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska is committed to strengthening partnership relations with the Russian Federation, which also includes free education at prestigious Russian universities, Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education Draga Mastilović said after a meeting with Alexander Vosmirko, a representative of the Russian state corporation Rostec in Serbia.
Following the meeting with the representative of the Russian state corporation for the promotion of development, production, and export of high-tech industrial products, the relevant ministry announced that the talks focused on the details of signing an agreement that would enable the implementation of engineering education programs at Russian institutions of higher learning. The goal of signing the document is to train students from Republika Srpska and enable their employment in the engineering and manufacturing technologies sectors in Srpska. The planned cooperation includes free education at prestigious universities in the Russian Federation, free accommodation in student dormitories, and coverage of living expenses. It was announced that representatives of the company Rostec will visit Republika Srpska at the end of March, where they will present the program and the opportunities it offers to interested university and secondary-school students, as well as the corporation’s potential for further education and professional development. Vosmirko emphasized that Rostec sees Republika Srpska as a reliable partner with significant potential for the development of joint projects in the fields of education and high technologies. He stressed that the goal of the cooperation is to create concrete opportunities for students and young people by providing high-quality engineering programs and connecting the academic community with the industry.
