AMIDŽIĆ: HASANOVIĆ AND OHR ONCE AGAIN SHOW THAT BiH LACKS LEGAL AND FINANCIAL SYSTEM
SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 26 /SRNA/ - Srđan Amidžić, Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers, said that his deputy, Muhamed Hasanović, and the Office of the High Representative /OHR/ have once again shown that there is no legal or financial system in BiH, adding that this may in fact be the true picture of BiH.
Amidžić pointed out that this time Hasanović did not transfer funds to the Channel Islands, but instead directed BAM 112.5 million to the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH. He emphasized that today, in addition to BAM 17 million for programs and BAM 52 million for equipment, BAM 20 million was also paid out for service contracts, but it is not known to whom. "In addition, BAM two million was paid for construction works - who the contractor was and which building is involved is unknown, as well as BAM 3.6 million for forms and paper, without precise details," Amidžić wrote on X. He stressed that citizens have the right to know what Hasanović paid for with their money and to judge for themselves whether all of it truly constitutes "technology". Hasanović today signed an instruction enabling the transfer of funds to the CEC for the introduction of new election technologies. The instruction states that funds originally planned for the 2025 budget be paid to the CEC in the current budget year, even though Srđan Amidžić had previously stated that those funds were no longer operational. Christian Schmidt earlier requested that the Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić secure BAM 112 million for the introduction of new technologies in the election process.
