KOVAČEVIĆ: SARAJEVO "FREED ITSELF" OF ITS LIBERATORS IN CIVIL WAR, IT IS LOGICAL THAT IT NOW CELEBRATES OCCUPIERS
ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 27 /SRNA/ - Radovan Kovačević, a Serb delegate to the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, said that during the most recent civil war, Sarajevo "freed itself" of more than 150,000 descendants of the city's liberators from both world wars.
"Nothing is more logical than for such a Sarajevo to now erect monuments to occupiers," Kovačević wrote on X. The Sarajevo City Council adopted an initiative to reinstall a monument to the Austro-Hungarian heir to the throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and his wife Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg, near Sarajevo's Latin Bridge.
