BAM 30 MILLION SECURED FOR 400 VEHICLES FOR INTERIOR MINISTRY

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 12 /SRNA/ - The Minister of the Interior of Republika Srpska Željko Budimir said today in Banja Luka that 400 different vehicles will be procured for members of the ministry, for which BAM 30 million has been secured.

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 12 /SRNA/ - The Minister of the Interior of Republika Srpska Željko Budimir said today in Banja Luka that 400 different vehicles will be procured for members of the ministry, for which BAM 30 million has been secured.



"There is a need to procure new vehicles for the Ministry of the Interior /MoI/ because the average age of the existing vehicles is more than 10 years," Budimir said at a press conference following a session of the Government of Republika Srpska. Budimir stated that passenger cars, off-road vehicles, vans, and special-purpose vehicles, as well as machinery, will be procured. "We are continuing to equip the Interior Ministry, especially when it comes to weapons and equipment, but also the development of infrastructure and improving working conditions for ministry personnel. We will soon begin implementing projects related to the renovation of facilities of police administrations," Budimir announced. Speaking about the regulation on the physical transfer of cash, Budimir said that the Government adopted it to prevent money laundering.
