INSULTS BY FBiH JOURNALISTS DIRECTED AT SNSD MPs
SARAJEVO, MARCH 16 /SRNA/ – A journalist from a FBiH-based media outlet verbally attacked the head of the SNSD caucus Sanja Vulić and MP Milorad Kojić while they were commenting on the fact that, during the debate on the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Excise Duties in BiH, a remark "Get lost, you are geniuine Chetniks" was heard in the press room.
"In Sarajevo, Serbophobia is very pronounced," Kojić said, noting that it is not easy for journalists of Serb media outlets to work in Sarajevo and listen to such insults. Trying to get a word from representatives of FBiH media, Kojić emphasized that insults directed at Serbs represent a pattern of behaviour, stressing that such things would not be heard from Serbs directed at Bosniaks. "We are used to it and respond with the strength of arguments. What bothers them is precisely Republika Srpska and what we are doing, which is exclusively protecting the constitutional and legal order of Republika Srpska. To their `go away, Chetniks,` we respond by explaining the defence of the constitutional and legal order of Republika Srpska, so those insults speak about them, about the Serbophobia they have and about their character," Kojić emphasized. The head of the SNSD caucus Sanja Vulić said that such words clearly show that there is no place for Serbs in Sarajevo. "This proved no room for Serbs in Sarajevo and it only confirms that we are telling the truth. That we are Chetniks – I am truly speechless. I only know that we will report it to the competent institutions to investigate who directed such insults and derogatory words at us. I must say that I am proud of the SNSD caucus and all of us Serbs who come from Republika Srpska, like the Serb People Caucus, because we stand firmly in defence of the constitutional rights and position of Republika Srpska," Vulić said. She thanked citizens for their trust, stressing that today’s “no” to excise duties is a principled stance and said that she will continue to be very clear and transparent. "We are not the ones who lie and spread hatred. We are the ones who say there is always room for everyone in Republika Srpska, while there is only no place for Serbs in Sarajevo," Vulić added. After the address to the journalists, the discussion with FBiH journalists continued on the stairs of the Parliamentary Assembly building, during which Kojić recalled that his claims are supported by the case of a motorcyclist being attacked in Sarajevo simply for wearing a T-shirt with symbols of the Serbian flag. After concluding the address to the journalists, Vulić requested that security react.
