REPUBLIKA SRPSKA DETERMINED TO PRESERVE PROPERTY AND SECURITY OF CITIZENS
BANJA LUKA, MARCH 19 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska institutions will do everything to protect order, peace, and the property of all citizens, Prime Minister Savo Minić said regarding the statement signed by Bosniak representatives condemning "hate speech, Islamophobia, and false narratives about Bosniaks and BiH".
Minić has stressed that the signing of such a statement yesterday further complicates an already complex situation in BiH. "We have always had some people who came from America and other countries, and they always created a narrative in which we were the bad brother or the bad member of the family, and we were constantly subjected to some punishments. That narrative has been present all the time," Minić told reporters in Banja Luka. He added that it is incomprehensible that in a state community where nothing functions properly, things are being done in a way that prevents functionality, while at the same time claims are made that someone is endangered. He expressed disappointment that all of this is happening on the eve of their holiday, stressing that that part of the political Sarajevo seeks to destroy the genuine foundation of friendship and coexistence. "This is the destruction of the possibility of any normal life - this is a clash of civilizations," Minić said, asking why such narratives are being created. He pointed out that they are constructing narratives and seeking control over our forests, water, and property, while Serb representatives have never raised claims over anything belonging to them. As prime minister, he said he is even more determined when it comes to protecting the interests of Republika Srpska and ensuring that something is done, expressing hope that the president of Republika Srpska will manage to gather those political representatives who think in a reasonable manner to affirm that there is only one truth. "There are not two truths. We know the facts. Why create a victim syndrome, when we were the ones killed, taken to Jasenovac, and pushed into pits when we had a victim syndrome?" Minić asked. He stressed that the Ministry of Interior /MOI/ will initiate procedures in accordance with the conclusions. "We promise every Bosniak, Croat, and Serb peace, respect, and protection of property. We will not react in a way that provokes a negative response, but when it comes to an attack on us, we will be even more determined," Minić concluded.
