NOSOVIĆ: OUR COMPLAINT HIGHLIGHTS FARCE OF BiH JUSTICE
BANJA LUKA, MARCH 20 /SRNA/ – The head of the Association of Former Prison Camp Detainees of Republika Srpska Anđelko Nosović told SRNA that the judiciary of BiH is acquitting perpetrators who committed war crimes against Serbs, which is why, together with the head of the Association of Women Victims of War Božica Živković-Rajilić, he filed a complaint with the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council /HJPC/ of BiH regarding the conduct of the judicial panel in the Ćamil Ramić et.al. case.
Nosović says he does not expect anything significant from the HJPC of BiH regarding the complaint about the conduct of the judicial panel in the Ćamil Ramić et.al. case concerning war crimes against Serbs in Goražde. However, the complaint was submitted to highlight all the mistakes that reveal the farce of BiH judiciary. He noted that the indictment concerns Ćamil Ramić and other members of the so-called Army of BiH who committed crimes against captured Serb soldiers and civilians, but the verdict does not mention the perpetrators at all; instead, it seeks an alibi to justify them. Nosović said the situation has gone so far that things are even being fabricated, such as claims that people imprisoned in Goražde are guilty simply because they belonged to certain formations. "Justifying crimes against Serbs as some kind of siege of Goražde or due to a large number of refugees!? One cannot tell what is more tragic and painful in all this farce of the BiH Court and the acting president of the Court - whether it is the content of the verdict they sent to the accused, or that they sent an invalid, draft version of the verdict and then asked for it to be returned," Nosović emphasized. He added that this case again demonstrates the farce of the BiH Court and prosecutors, noting that many people remain imprisoned because of such verdicts. "But they do it according to the principle of Alija Izetbegović's `Islamic Declaration,` following the motto that Serbs will get tired, while it is our constant task to exert pressure on them," Nosović said. He pointed out that the problem with this verdict is that the BiH Court does not address the case itself, but instead focuses on other matters - from analyzing the number of participants in the war to the number of brigades and units involved - while ignoring the crimes committed by Muslims against captured Serbs in Goražde. Nosović and Rajilić filed a complaint with the HJPC of BiH regarding the conduct of the judicial panel in the Ćamil Ramić et.al. case, which concerns crimes committed against members of the Republika Srpska Army between 1992 and 1995 in Goražde. They requested that disciplinary proceedings be initiated against the panel. The complainants noted that in the first-instance verdict of November 19 of last year, the judicial panel, chaired by Minka Kreho, who is acting president of the BiH Court, made a series of inappropriate and legally unfounded statements that call into question the impartiality of the judges. The reasoning in the verdict, among other things, states that tens of thousands of displaced Bosniak civilians from surrounding areas were in Goražde, which, according to the panel, affected the treatment of captured Serbs. From this, it is concluded that the judicial panel considered it permissible to treat captured Serb soldiers harshly due to the presence of refugees.
