DODIK: REPUBLIKA SRPSKA IS MY SOLE PRIORITY, BiH DOES NOT FUNCTION

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 22 /SRNA/ - SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said he did not believe in BiH, describing it as impossible, and stressed that his only motive is Republika Srpska.

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 22 /SRNA/ - SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said he did not believe in BiH, describing it as impossible, and stressed that his only motive is Republika Srpska.

“We are in a better position than before, and that is why we need to rally around Republika Srpska. We must be resilient, know our goal, and pursue it without hesitation,” Dodik said. He emphasized that nothing in BiH functions and that many are questioning how long such a situation can last. “My role in all this is to ensure that everything is resolved through a peaceful political process,” Dodik told RTRS. According to him, Bosniak political representatives have done everything to make BiH unsustainable and, in his view, it may not exist in the future. “What we need to try is to achieve Serb national unity on matters at the level of BiH. The most important thing would be to jointly decide to stop decision-making at the BiH level until internal relations between Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH are defined,” Dodik pointed out. He added that it is necessary to review everything imposed by high representatives, including measures pushed through parliament under pressure. “We should go issue by issue and see, if we fail that test, then there is no BiH,” Dodik stressed. He said that Republika Srpska is functioning, despite challenges, and has demonstrated the capacity to address them. “For sixteen consecutive quarters, we have recorded GDP growth. This year, Republika Srpska will allocate BAM 5.5 billion for salaries and BAM 2.2 billion for pensions. Our 296,000 employees generate an economy worth BAM 20 billion under nearly impossible conditions, including situations where individuals refuse to support opening a new border crossing over a bridge we have built,” Dodik said.
