MOSTAR, MARCH 23 /SRNA/ - The institutions of Republika Srpska always firmly stand with the Serb people in Mostar and throughout the Federation of BiH /FBiH/, as evidenced by the formation of an interdepartmental working group that will deal with property-related issues, said Goran Selak, Minister of Justice of Republika Srpska.

Selak emphasized that the Office of Republika Srpska in Mostar must be the central point through which all institutions of Republika Srpska will act when it comes to developments in the FBiH. During his visit to Mostar, Selak met with His Eminence, Metropolitan of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and the Littoral Dimitrije, as well as the Consul General of Serbia in that city, Vasa Gujić. The meeting focused on the position of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serb people in Mostar and the Neretva Valley, as well as on the challenges and work of institutions and associations in the area. Also attending the meeting at the Bishop's Palace in Mostar were Gorica Rašović, head of the Office of Republika Srpska in Mostar; Sanja Bjelica-Šagovnović, president of the city board of SPKD Prosvjeta, and Duško Kojić, head of the Cathedral Church. Selak then visited the Office of Republika Srpska in Mostar, where he spoke with employees about its work and emphasized the importance of its activities. As part of his visit, Selak will also meet with the Minister of Justice of the FBiH Vedran Škobić and the leadership of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs. The focus of the meeting will be the protection and legal security of the property of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the FBiH, an issue of particular national importance. This meeting is a continuation of institutional efforts to preserve the property rights and cultural and spiritual heritage of the Serb people.
