SELAK AND ŠKOBIĆ AGREE ON INSTITUTIONAL COOPERATION IN HARMONIZATION PROCESS
MOSTAR, MARCH 23 /SRNA/ – The ministers of justice of Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH, Goran Selak and Vedran Škobić, agreed today in Mostar on institutional cooperation between the entities to prevent future problems in the process of property harmonization.
Selak said they discussed individual errors by the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs, as well as the lack of information provided to the Serbian Orthodox Church /SOC/ and Serbs regarding the harmonization process. He has stated that Republika Srpska supports cooperation and recalled that it had established an interdepartmental working group to assist the SOC and Serbs who own property in the FBiH in exercising their rights. "In every future harmonization process, the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs will inform the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs (RUGIPP), so that we can prepare our people and the Church to follow the process and register with geodetic offices," Selak said. "Cooperation, coexistence, and dialogue are now important, and no one wants to disturb the public. We are protecting the rights of the Serbian people, and it is important for the two entities to cooperate with the aim of coexistence and good neighborly relations," Selak emphasized. Škobić said they agreed on a method of timely informing citizens so they can be included in the process.
