CVIJANOVIĆ: SRPSKA INTENDS TO CONTINUE GOOD COOPERATION WITH WASHINGTON

DALLAS, MARCH 25 /SRNA/ – The Serb BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović stated that the United States now has a realistic approach toward BiH and Republika Srpska, emphasizing that Republika Srpska intends to continue good cooperation with the administration of US President Donald Trump.

Speaking at the international summit within the Conservative Political Action Conference /CPAC/, being held in Dallas in the US state of Texas, she said that Republika Srpska appreciates that Serbs can now, during the term of President Donald Trump’s administration, talk about issues that previously could not be discussed. Cvijanović stressed that she understands the concerns of colleagues in Europe, but pointed out that Europe has neither a strategy nor a plan, which is currently the main difference between the United States and the European Union. "We appreciate everything America is doing. The environment in which we live is complicated. The United States established BiH through the Dayton Peace Agreement," Cvijanović noted. She emphasized that BiH is the last colony in Europe because a foreign official has been imposed on it who was never approved by the Dayton Accords, yet imposes laws outside the parliaments. According to her, many people talk about BiH without knowing anything about it, especially that it is a colony. "It is impossible to speak about democracy in BiH, because there is an unappointed foreign official who imposes laws and dismisses the democratically elected president of Republika Srpska," Cvijanović emphasized. She says it is now possible to speak freely thanks to the current US administration. "The United States has changed its approach toward Republika Srpska and BiH. We now have a partnership, because America has a realistic approach," Cvijanović said. She added that the authorities of Republika Srpska intend to continue good cooperation with the administration of US President Donald Trump.
