INTERLOCUTORS IN THE U.S. UNDERSTAND THAT SERBS AND SRPSKA HAVE SUFFERED DECADES OF INJUSTICE
BANJA LUKA, MARCH 27 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik stated that all interlocutors in the United States, with whom representatives of Republika Srpska have met, are aware that Serbs and Republika Srpska have suffered decades of injustice.
"We are managing to engage them on this issue, so that they place it on their agenda and consider it in that context. A year ago, this would not have been possible. A year ago, I was persecuted by the Muslim-led authorities, the Court, and the Prosecutor’s Office from Muslim Sarajevo," Dodik told SRNA. He recalled that at that time, 50 individuals in Republika Srpska were under sanctions and emphasized that, since then, representatives of Republika Srpska have achieved immeasurable success in the geopolitical and diplomatic arena through persistent work. "What I experienced a few days ago in Budapest from Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, I think, is both a full stop and an exclamation mark on a political career and its possibilities, as well as a strong proof that you have a friend," Dodik emphasized in an interview with SRNA, commenting on Orbán’s statement at the CPAC Conference in Budapest, one of the most important international gatherings of conservative and sovereignist political leaders, where the Hungarian leader called the SNSD leader his friend and said that “the President of Republika Srpska Dodik deserves a special title because of the political pressures he has faced.” Dodik expressed his confidence that Orbán will win the upcoming elections in Hungary. "We wholeheartedly support his victory; things are moving well, and I call on all Serbs in Hungary, as well as Hungarians wherever they are, to vote for Orbán, because the policies he has implemented work in favor of the Hungarian state and its people. He avoided war, arranged all good deals with Donald Trump, maintained good relations with Russia, and has not deviated from China," Dodik emphasized. He highlighted that Republika Srpska is, besides Hungary, the only one in the region that has managed to maintain good relations with Russia, the new U.S. administration, and also enjoys strong ties with Orbán, Israel, and Serbia. "For a small Republika Srpska, with around one million inhabitants, this rises far above its size in significance," Dodik noted. He added that the real enemy of Republika Srpska is Brussels, because certain reforms are constantly "pushed" on Republika Srpska that always aim to weaken it while strengthening Sarajevo. "That is not our national interest. It is against our national existence in this region," Dodik stated.
