BEOGRAD, APRIL 15 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik has said today in Belgrade that Republika Srpska, together with Serbia, has promoted a policy of military neutrality and that everything being done is aimed at defending the people and the territory.

Dodik stated that the Serbia's Armed Forces are a respected force and the most important part of society, ready to defend the state and its people, as well as to deter those who might intend to harm Serbia. He assessed that the Serbia's Armed Forces are modern, highlighting the visible commitment of Serbia's President Aleksandar Vučić to raising standards and improving the moral and combat readiness of the army to defend Serbia's territory. "This is important at a time when the global world is in conflicts, when it is difficult to assess potential threats. The commitment to building up the Serbia's Armed Forces is impressive," Dodik said at a press conference following a meeting between the leadership of Republika Srpska, Vučić, and representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbia’s Armed Forces. The meeting was attended by Republika Srpska President Siniša Karan, National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić, Prime Minister Savo Minić, Serb BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović, Interior Minister Željko Budimir, and Police Director Siniša Kostrešević. Also present were Serbia's Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić and Chief of the General Staff General Milan Mojsilović.
